Through Project-Specific Giving, you can directly support initiatives that enhance training, mentorship, and long-term success for our athletes. Your generosity ensures that every swimmer—regardless of financial background—has access to the resources they need to excel.

Each of these programs plays a vital role in shaping the future of our athletes. Below, you’ll find a breakdown of our key initiatives and their annual funding needs:

  • DDAC is committed to creating a more inclusive coaching staff to better support our female athletes. Funding this initiative will:
    1. Provide a part-time coach’s salary – $30,000 – $50,000
    2. Cover certifications & professional development – $2,000 – $5,000. 3. Support recruitment & onboarding costs – $5,000

  • At DDAC, up to 70% of our swimmers qualify for some form of financial aid, helping families cover membership fees, swim meet costs, and essential equipment. Ensuring that financial barriers never hold an athlete back, this fund provides:


    1. Partial or full membership fee coverage
    2. Swim meet entry fee assistance
    3. Equipment & training gear support

  • uilding endurance, power, and injury prevention through structured strength training. Your gift will help cover:
    1. Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach – $8,000 – $12,000
    2. Training Equipment (weights, resistance bands, etc.) – $3,000 – $5,000
    3. Facility Rental & Maintenance – $4,000 – $8,000

  • 1. Membership Fees & Coaching – $1,500 – $2,500 per year

    • Covers year-round coaching, pool access, and team programming

    • Includes dryland training and structured workouts

    2. Swim Meet Fees – $800 – $1,500 per year

    • Entry fees for local meets: $30 – $60 per event, averaging 10–15 meets per year

    • Championship meets & travel competitions: Additional fees for higher-level meets

    3. Swim Gear & Equipment – $500 – $1,000 per year

    • Competition suit & practice suits – $200 – $500

    • Team apparel (warm-ups, team shirt, cap, etc.) – $150 – $250

    • Training gear (fins, paddles, goggles, kickboard, etc.) – $150 – $250

    4. Travel & Transportation Costs – $500 – $1,500 per year

    • Gas & transportation for local meets – $200 – $500

    • Hotel & food for away meets – $300 – $1,000

  • Bringing in renowned gold medalists and legendary coaches to inspire and educate our athletes. Your donation will help fund:
    1. Olympian & Elite Coach Appearance Fees – $5,000 – $15,000
    2. Travel, Lodging & Accommodations – $2,000 – $5,000
    3. Facility Rental & Event Logistics – $3,000 – $5,000

  • Guiding our athletes toward swimming at the collegiate level, offering resources on scholarships, recruitment, and academic-athletic balance. Contributions will cover:
    1. Workshops & Seminars with College Recruiters & Former Collegiate Swimmers – $2,000 – $5,000
    2. Educational Resources & Recruiting Guides – $1,000 – $2,000
    3. One-on-One Consulting Sessions for Athletes & Families – $2,000 – $3,000

  • The John DeRoest Memorial Sextathlon Swim Meet is DDAC’s flagship competition, bringing together swimmers from across the region for a unique, high-intensity event that tests endurance, versatility, and competitive spirit. Named in honor of John DeRoest, a beloved coach and mentor who dedicated his life to the sport, this annual meet is a celebration of excellence, resilience, and sportsmanship.
